Scene: Nazgul Attacks Osgiliath
"They're here...they've come"
The sound of slow flapping wings followed by a deafening screech always gives me goosebumps to this very day. Such an iconic entrance of the Nazgul as they attack Osgiliath, riding on a fellbeast, one of the most fearsome creatures of Middle Earth.
For this challenge, I wanted to capture the moment when Frodo gets a little too close to one of these beasts, being under the influence of the Ring. I always liked the contrast in this scene, between a small, harmless and innocent hobbit, and the enormous and terrfying creature which is a servant of evil.
The main focus of the build was the Fellbeast, I wanted it to be as detailed and as smooth as possible, so I had to build above minifig scale. The build also features some articulation, for example the fellbeast's wings, legs, mouth, neck and tail. Everything is brickbuilt, including the figures, and even Frodo's cape. This proved to be quite a challenge, but I had plenty fun making it nonetheless!
