Location: Bag End
“I often think of Bag End. I miss my books, and my armchair and my garden. See that’s where I belong, that’s home.”
-Bilbo Baggins
I wanted to build something that could potentially be an official Lego set. And one of the reasons why Lego sets are so iconic and memorable is not only the locations, scenes and vehicles they resemble but also their features. There’s always been something about interiors that stuck me as something to behold. Bag End has quite the iconic interior in both the books and films and I hope I captured it well here.
For the exterior I went for a more Lord of the Rings look having an older Bilbo, Sam and Frodo out front along with Gandalf on his cart. But since you spend a bit more time inside the hobbit hole in the Hobbit films, I couldn’t exclude those scenes! Especially the unexpected party with the company of Thorin Oakenshield. Another scene that is too iconic to forget about, is when Frodo learns of the one ring with Gandalf which I just had to include!
