SCENE: The Breaking of the Gate (Aka, Grond! Grond! Grond!)

"Get back there and smash it down!"
"But nothing can breach it"
"Grond will breach it... Bring up the Wolf's Head!"

"Great engines crawled across the field; and in the midst was a huge ram, great as a forest-tree a hundred feet in length, swinging on mighty chains. Long had it been forging in the dark smithies of Mordor, and its hideous head, founded of black steel, was shaped in the likeness of a ravening wolf; on it spells of ruin lay. Grond they named it, in memory of the Hammer of the Underworld of old."

"You are soldiers of Gondor! Whatever comes through that gate you will stand your ground!"

I chose to make one of the most iconic moments of the series, blending the best parts of the books and films. Grond and the exterior wall are modeled after the movie versions, and I had a lot of fun making the gate as detailed as possible. Trolls and Orcs surround it, led by a book-accurate Witch-King of Angmar! Atop the wall, Gondorian Soldiers and Gandalf rain arrows down at them
