Location: Amon Sul
"But long before, in the first days of the North Kingdom, they built a great watch-tower on Weathertop, Amon Sul they called it. It was burned and broken, and nothing remains of it now but a tumbled ring, like a rough crown on the old hill's head. Yet once it was tall and fair. It is told that Elendil stood there watching for the coming of Gil-galad out of the West, in the days of the Last Alliance."
-Aragorn (The Fellowship of the Ring)
I have imagined what the tower of Amon Sul would have looked like when Elendil waited there for Gil-galad some three thousand years before the events of the Lord of the Rings. The golden figure is Elendil, and I have included him to show the scale of the tower. I also experimented with different angles at the base of the tower. When I was designing it, first I built an actual model at about half the size, and then I used that to build the final product in Studio. I hope you like it.
