Location: Esgaroth

Some moldy driftwood seemingly coming from all horizons, some half melted and gray ice and a greenish and tarnished water that most would avoid. A dark and unwelcoming atmosphere, a constant fishy smell, an enormous mess, a darkness seemingly vacuuming all the light.
Esgaroth is a part of the Hobbit I prefer, especially in Lego. It has a special aspect that not all places have while remaining still medieval. By transferring that feeling, I really worked on the Texturing with the différents colors of brown and on the detail of the mess and the building.
I tried to represent the mold of the wood and the moss due to the water by transitioning green to brown. Making the pontoon was time consuming, but I really wanted this ''made by hand'' and messy effect. I hesitated for a long time on the house shape by making a lot of prototypes with real bricks and this is what I came crossed being the best while remaining possible with the time limit.
Hope you like it as much as I liked building it.
