Scene: The Voyage of Eärendil
Eärendil was a mariner
that tarried in Arvernien;
he built a boat of timber felled
in Nimbrethil to journey in;
her sails he wove of silver fair,
of silver were her lanterns made,
her prow was fashioned like a swan,
and light upon her banners laid.
J.R.R Tolkien, The Silmarillion
This scene recreates the voyage that Eärendil undertook to ask for help from the Valar in the war against Morgoth.
The ship, named Vingilot, is made of 656 pieces and comes along with five characters. Eärendil, his wife Elwing and the four mariners that accompanied him: Erellont, Falathar, and Aerandir.
Elwing comes in both forms, a woman and a white bird.
