Scene: The Battle of the Summit (Gandalf vs. Balrog)
This is my favorite individual matchup in the entire series. In it, two powerful maiar faced each other: Gandalf "the Grey" and the balrog of Moria. He has also left us two of the most famous phrases in the history of cinema: "You shall not pass" and "Fly, you fools!"
