Scene: The Duel of Fingolfin and Morgoth
“Thus he came alone to Angband's gates, and he sounded his horn, and smote once more upon the brazen doors, and challenged Morgoth to come forth to single combat. And Morgoth came” - J. R. R. Tolkien, the Silmarillion
This scene depicts the duel between Fingolfin, the first High King of the Ñoldor, and Morgoth, the first Dark Lord Melkor.
In this scene, Morgoth appears in his black armor form and wields his mighty hammer Grond and a vast shield. Morgoth has the three Silmarils set into his Iron Crown. The model shows Morgoth as much larger than Fingolfin, as Tolkien described him as towering over the elven king. However, Morgoth is still a reasonable size to "set his left foot upon his [Fingolfin's] neck" in the end of their duel.
Fingolfin is depicted in gleaming armor with blue crystals set in his shield. In this scene, he has drawn his sword Ringil and is raising his shield as Morgoth swings down with Grond.
