Scene: Shelob the Great

I chose to build a scene from the movie " The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King " with my bricks.

The scene represents the passage of the spider's pass, Cirith Ungol, of Frodo and Sam on their way to Mordor.

This idea came from looking the pieces of old sets that I used to play with when I was a child, Lego system Insectoids. In those sets, the spaceships had insect legs. I used the larger legs for have the strength and breadth to support the spider over rocks. I don’t have the lord of the rings minifigures, so I improvised Sam with cape, Sting and Earendil's star while Frodo was poisoned and covered in white cobweb. The construction is mostly black and gray to recall the dark atmosphere of the film and to bring out the spider's eyes and teeth.
