Location: Bag End
I was so excited once I saw this challenge because I knew exactly what I wanted to build.
Bag End is the house of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins. I’m a HUGE Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit fan. I love the whole Tolkien world and the whole trilogies.
For this model, I took inspiration from the 2012 "an unexpected gathering" set (79003) and looked all over the internet for Bag End scenes and Lego MOCs. This model is built with 4391 pieces, it was a fantastic experience to build it, and it turned out INCREDIBLE. My mission was to stick to the front of the house but also shove in some Easter eggs and a lot of details. I made sure to include the map of Erebor, the one ring and the envelope in a chest, the marking on the door, the table on which the dwarfs ate, and the sign saying “no admittance except on party businesses.”
- I made the roof easy for removal
- my model’s map
- the kitchen (with the spoons that Lobelia Sackville-Baggins tried to take)
- The parlour with the lonely mountain’s map
