Scene: Escape From the Darkness of Moria
When I first saw The Lord of the Rings, the scene in Moria really impressed me. It is still my favorite scene.
In the heart of Moria is a strange room because of its gigantism. Dozens and dozens of poles form a forest of stone in the heart of the mountain.
The darkness of such a place is frightening but it's nothing compared to the fiery red glow that starts to illuminate the walls.
For my model I wanted to reproduce this room. Of course, I could not put an infinite number of poles. I had to be satisfied with seven. But I arranged them in such a way as to show that the room is larger. But with a low number, we find this effect of long "alley" of poles.
It's hard to make a lego set in an enclosed space. I wondered about making a roof. Finally I did it and it forces the spectator to look to the side and dive into the scene. Finally bricklink studio allows me to add light and recreate the atmosphere of the film. It looks especially good with red and orange lighting.
