Stories in a Garden
As a child, I loved playing outdoors. Each day the garden would become something new, whether it was overgrown jungle or on the hunt for secret treasure, I would imagine a new adventure. My favourite thing to image was a waterfall, joining both the upper and lower patio area and secret caves with treasure. This is a tribute to my childhood memories, conjuring stories and adventures to pass the time and pretending each day was something new.
This bookshelf display depicts how I often imagined my back garden, with a vast waterfall at its centre and surrounded by nature and mountains, it’s a place I often kept to the back of my mind whenever I needed to relax. And a way to remember the best parts of my childhood.
This set shows a waterfall with a tree, swans, frogs and the resident neighbourhood cat with the backdrop of incredible mountains and a secret cave. Everything I loved to imagine as a kid. The set is roughly 27 blocks high, 26 studs wide and 37 studs long.
