Ghost Pipe Flowers
I’ve loved wildflowers since I was a child, but I never managed to find the elusive ghost pipe (Monitropa uniflora, once also called Indian Pipe). This beautiful, all-white plant sprouts in clusters, lives in woodland humus and gets its nutrients from a relationship with a fungus in its roots.
This 1:1 scale build uses1x1 bricks to capture the scaly feel of the plant. For the leaves on top, I raided every feather from my husband’s stash of medieval minifigure helmets.
