NettieBee's Orrery

This projects takes its inspiration from the album cover design for "The Heliocentric Worlds of Sun Ra, Volume Two" and a 3D model featured in HBO's "Lovecraft Country" TV series. Known as the grandfather of Afrofuturism, jazz maverick Sun Ra believed that Black people were descended from an advanced civilization so advanced it was in fact extraterrestrial, from Saturn. Similar to Sun Ra, the character Hippolyta in "Lovecraft Country" navigated time and space using an orrery that represents the solar system. My digital Lego design is based on this model.
