N.A.S. - Neon Afro Spirits
For my interpretation of Afrofuturism I took the beloved Mecha-Genre and combined it with African folklore, myths and legends. The goal was to get an idea of what the Mecha-Genre would look like today if it had originated in Africa. Each of the three Mechs represent a certain spiritual figure from the African folklore. During the design process, I tried to incorporate Africa's numerous natural resources, such as gold and diamonds, into the visual design. From left to right:
Anansi-Boi: 1024 Pcs
Moon-Ra: 845 Pcs
Ramba-Zamba: 943 Pcs
All three Mechs are fully buildable. The luminous colors can easily be swapped out with their trans-counterparts. I hope you like it.
Influences: African Folklore, Akan, Voodoo, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gundam, Power Rangers, Neil Gaiman, American Gods, Anansi Boys, Sun-Ra, Ninjago, Islanders, Adventures
