Chiwara Vertical City
Based on the shapes of a Chiwara headdress, this vertical city skyscraper, provides sustainable living for thousands of people.
Towering high above the rest of the city, the complex shape of the building provides sunlight and shade to different parts of the building and city during the day. Open area parks and gardens supplies the inhabitants with cool water, fresh air and vegetables.
The surface of the building is clad in solar panels and the “head” and “ears” of the building contains large wind powered turbines. Together, this makes the vertical city completely energy self-sufficient.
