FIFA World Cup Trophy

Yes, we love sports, but why do we love it so much? Well, first and foremost, it brings people together. Sports is full of spectacular triumphs and heart-wrenching defeats, story arches that even the most skilled author could not write. This is true of all sports, and I'm sure an iconic storyline has already popped into your head that you can remember like it was yesterday. But for me, no sport speaks louder than football (soccer). Yeilding a combined viewership of almost half of the world's population (3.5 billion people), the FIFA World Cup is the ultimate culmination of what the best football players in the world can do.

Here, I have recreated a recognizable piece of the World Cup, the trophy itself. I wish this trophy could talk, because it has seen so many amazing stories throughout the years. 1990 Cameron, 1999 American Women's, 2002 Senegal, and so many others. It's because of these teams and our love for this sport that makes it is one of the most celebrated events of all time.
