Overtime | a Hockey Minigame
He shoots, he scores!!!
There's nothing better than a good game of hockey, which is why I decided to use it as my sport of choice for this contest. Though, to make this more than just a flat basic rink, I added some function based off of an old toy hockey table I had as a kid.
Basically, the player and goalie are both on mechanisms that allow them to rotate and move side to side, just with a single axle/rod. With this mobility, the player is able to shoot the puck, while the goalie can be ready to block the shot.
Additional features of this model include:
- a working scoreboard
- a bench for the players, with a place to put their water bottles and a working door
- a four stud wide Zamboni
- 3 members of team studs, the team clips goalie, a referee and a coach/Zamboni driver
Overall, I'm pretty proud of this model. The only thing that could be changed is the net, as it might be too small, and it's likely hard to access the puck once in there. Other than that, I hope you enjoy!
