Laurel Wreath

Ever since the time of the ancient Greek Olympics, The winners would receive Laurel wreaths to wear as a form of crown. They were not really rare or expensive awards, but they represented all the hard work and perseverance to get onto the podium. They were not meant to be worth lots of money, they were to represent something far more valuable than money. They represent the will and ability to push yourself and become great. We find awards like this all over the world marking peoples amazing accomplishments, and they act as goals for others to seek out an to give hope to. This wasn't the first award given to humans, but it still lasts to this day, as all modern Olympic medals have a laurel wreath on them. It represents the good in humanity, to strive for something honestly and be celebrated for it.
