Highland Games With Playable Caber Toss
Welcome to the Highland Games, a long-running celebration of Scottish traditions and a sporting event like no other– bagpipes, kilt-wearing athletes, haggis, and the lifting-and-throwing of heavy objects. The game's 'heavy events' include the Caber Toss (throwing a log end-over-end), Stone Put (throwing rocks for distance), Scottish Hammer Throw (spinning and releasing a hammer through the air), Weight Throw (heaving a metal weight on a chain for distance), Sheaf Toss (lifting a burlap bag of straw up over a bar), and 'Maide-Leisg' (lifting your opponent from a sitting position, hands clasped and feet sole-to-sole).
Throw the cabers across the field by pushing down on the levers. Non-playable cabers can be articulated to represent different points in the toss, the hammer-thrower spins, and the Maide-Leisg contest ends in one player being lifted up. This proposal also includes plenty of tartans and kilts, spirited fans, a friendly welcome kiosk, and a grill-full of haggis and bangers.
