The Soul of the Rings

At no other time is sport celebrated as it is during the Olympic games. The 4-yearly epic climax of sports brings out the sporty soul in everyone around the globe. The most iconic symbol in sports are of course the 5 Olympic rings.

For my build I want to bring a wholesome perspective with added symbolization to each ring. In my design every ring represents three elements based on the color (for the continents), the content (representing values) and the character (symbolizing authenticities of the Olympics).

Blue ring: Europe - athleticism and team spirit - water sports

Yellow ring: Asia - excellence - medal/gold

Black ring: Africa - confidence (“Tabono”) - sports on land

Green ring: Oceania - ethics and respect - honor and laurel

Red ring: America - passion - Olympic flame
