Wimbledon Centre Court

When you say tennis, you say Wimbledon. The Wimbledon Championship is the oldest and most famous tennis tournament around. For this contest I built the Centre Court, which is the main court of the Wimbledon Championship.

The build itself can be divided into 7 different parts. First off we have the display stand and the field (picture 3). The field is built horizontally with a studs not on top technique. This allowed for overall thinner lines on the field, making the proportions of the field closer to reality. Then we have five different parts of the stadium, which can be easily taken apart (picture 4-8). Lastly we have the roof, which is fully functional and can be opened and closed as can be seen in picture 2 and 9.

Some awesome details of this build include the Royal Box and the umpire chair. In total this build consists of 2508 bricks and measures around 40 by 34 centimetre. The build fits in nicely with the Lego Old Trafford Stadium and is of a similar size.
