Skate City

This year I began to skateboard and I fell in love with it immediately. Me and my friends went to the skatepark everyday during summer to learn new tricks and at the same time we became friends with the other skaters. With this entry I wanted to capture that feeling, a community, a place where all types of people meet and train and hang out together. Because that is the fantastic thing with sport, it unites people.

The model is meant to be both a display piece as well as a playset for your minifigures. Beside the skating area there is a skateshop with all the equipment for the skaters and a small kiosk where you can rest and fill up on energy after a long skate session. I have made the model modular for easily transporting it and to be able to modify the skatepark. 

The model consists of roughly 1400 parts.
