The Basilisk & the Phoenix

As Harry faces the Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets, his loyalty to Dumbledore calls Fawkes to his aid! As the King of Serpents rises up in front of Harry, Fawkes swoops to his rescue; flames arcing off his long tail feathers to create a particular looking shape...

My design uses the Basilisk & the Phoenix to create the 20 for Lego Harry Potter's 20th Anniversary. And like all snakes, my Lego version can unhinge its jaw to swallow unsuspecting minifigs! It also boasts 5 segments (over half!) raised off the ground. Both the Basilisk and Fawkes have numerous joints that would make them perfect for reenacting this epic battle!

While the Basilisk is supported by it's own body, Fawkes is supported by trans red slopes on a rocky base which are angled just so! I played around quite a bit with balance in this build and I think it paid off! Despite its looks, both builds are quite stable!

But yeah, I'm quite proud of this! What do you all think?
