Chapter Twenty: The First Task

For the Twentieth Anniversary of LEGO Harry Potter Challenge, I searched for any time the number twenty appeared in any of the books/movies. Upon looking in the fourth book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, I found that chapter twenty was the first task. I immediately made my build the fourth book turned open to the page in chapter twenty when Harry battles the Hungarian Horntail complete with a large number 20 magically suspended, signifying both the chapter number and the twenty years of LEGO Harry Potter. I created the seen described in the book coming out from the book. The Horntail leaps off the pages into reality blowing a pillar of fire at Harry on his Firebolt. I was able to create a very realistic look for the dragon with curved, angled, and smooth bricks. The stands where the spectators sit completes the build nicely. Finally, for this celebration of LEGO Harry Potter I wanted to build something magically large and iconic, and the First Task Scene does it very well.
