Post Office: Legacy Version
The postal sub-theme has always been a neglected area in the city/ town theme. This revamped version of the 1982 set will be the perfect addition to any LEGO city, as I'm pretty sure over half of them don't have a non-winter village post office.
A couple of changes were made from the original set. For instance, the drop-off section has been modernised and electrified so that the minifigs can do the package-related procedures automatically. An antenna was also installed to connect this automated system to the internet.
New pieces and colors were introduced since 1982, notably wedge plates used to make the brickbuilt sign, the round plates to give the roof edge a smoother, more modern touch, and the switch from red to a more realistic and nuanced dark red wall.
Lastly, a bird who became the postman's helper is now living on top of the roof. The truck is replaced by a bike because being eco friendly is important, not because I ran out of parts.
