Mini Dino Research Compound
My contribution is based on the Dino Research Compound, now in a miniature version witch exactly 250 pieces.
I chose this set as the template, because it was one of my first larger sets, with a whole area to build and explore. Besides the many stories to play and with its many „hidden“ features like trapdoors etc. (and my general fascination for dinosaurs) I had this set directly in mind, because its amazingly stable box was my general brick box for a long time and I still own the box today.
In the original set, the connections to the bridge and the additional island with the tree and crane were designed to be easily removed so you could re-arrange the set. For this smaller version I transferred that feature to two hinges to easily change the arrangement between a more straight line, the „original“ orientation or, if you don‘t have the space and/or want to use it e.g. as a bookend, you can „curl“ it up to a more compact version.
The adventure awaits!
