Dwarves Power Mine Defense
This idea was inspired by two of my favorite themes growing up, Power Miners and Castle (Fantasy Era). In particular, I based my design loosely on two sets I owned as a kid, Dwarves' Mine Defender (7040) and Crystal King (8962). I combined the two sets and made the Dwarves Power Mine Defense. A fantasy-like Power Miner set.
On the rock monster team, we have The Mighty Meltrox and the Crystal King. In my designs to make them look more fantasy-like, I made shoulder armor and crystal plate armor for Meltrox. I also added shield-like tile pieces to the Crystal King to give him an armored look.
On team power miners, we have Brains Flintdigger, the brightest dwarf in the kingdom, Duke Oreshield, the fastest digger around, and Doc Silverbrand, the fearless leader. I made the power miners dwarves. These power mines have come prepared with their state-of-the-art Barrel Driller. You can spin the little knob on the back to make the drill spin.
Thanks for taking the time to read this!
