A Slice of Parad-Ice!
Two Polar opposites come together for a relaxing vacation- in sub zero temperatures.
My model is based off of 6898, replacing the launchpad on the back with a nice beach, stocked with a radio & a nice yellow sandcastle.
While I was born after the lifespans of both Ice Planet 2002, and Paradisa, I grew up with the internet, which familiarized me with all the LEGO themes before me. I loved the plethora of classic space factions; their unique gimmicks and moldularity inspired me in my own building. In particular, I had a big soft spot for Ice Planet; I had a torso from one of the minifigs, and I loved its blue and trans neon orange (especially the chainsaws).
On the other hand, Paradisa is a theme that has grown on me over the past few years. Like Ice Planet, I love its colour scheme and design, and I found it fun to adapt its unique look into the current LEGO palette.
While not being conventional nostalgia, these two themes still mean a lot to me, and I'd love for them to return!
