Return of the Crystal King

This is a modern re-imagining of set 8962: Crystal King. Power Miners was an exceptionally popular theme and LEGO fans appear to want more or something similar, so I made this. I wanted to include copious rocky details throughout whilst keeping true to the original shape and style of 8962. You may see that on the legs, I've used the same angular bricks from the original yet, replaced many other larger pieces with smaller details like toes and a tail to add some jovial character. I've also added an unusual play feature with its belly... well, why not? The head was the most difficult to accomplish due to the limitations of the piece count, but I'm happy with it. I never had Power Miners sets growing up despite always wanting a set. Later, I bought the original crystal king with other small things. Needless to say, it's clear to see why so many fans love this theme. I hope that both LEGO fans and the LEGO Group enjoy this model of mine and I hope I did the Crystal King a good service.
