The Future of Futuron
The Futuron, launched in 1987, featured a color scheme of white and transparent dark blue, which I believe is the easiest to integrate into modern space themes. The design of the set 6932 Stardefender "200" spaceship—with a large central main cabin flanked by two smaller side pods—was a completely innovative configuration at the time. It has rarely been seen again, however, with the only notable reappearance being in the set 6981 Aerial Intruder from Blacktron II, 4 years later.
Today, I want to pay tribute to this classic series and its iconic design. To recreate the most recognizable but long-discontinued 2408 panel, I finally used the newest 5065 panel and 42205 window pieces. The overall shape has been updated to a sleeker form while retaining several key features of the original model. I believe this small yet refined spaceship would be a perfect candidate for a LEGO Gift With Purchase.
