The Gold Classic Space Mech & Space Scooter

Nothing brings more nostalgia to me than the LEGO Classic Space minifigure. I grew up with the initial LEGO Classic Space sets and played with them to create innovative vehicules or bases to populate my own Sci-Fi scenarios and adventures.

Being also a fan of mechs, I always enjoy creating such devices for my minifigures. Here I made a tribute to the Classic Space theme by designing a Golden-colored LEGO Classic Space Mech for a potentially new pearl-gold-colored Classic Spaceman. The mech is inspired by an astronaut's space suit, like a scaled-up version of the Classic Spaceman, with puffy-looking limbs and air tanks that mimick those of the minifigure, as well as some typical parts seen in the vintage Classic Space sets. One special feature is the Classic Space-styled Space Scooter for the mech to stand on, largely inspired by the iconic LEGO 918 spaceship with its large propulser and color scheme.
