Secret of the Spider

Johnny Thunder and Pippin Reed search for the Golden Sun Disc, but Senor Palomar may find it first! Can they overcome the traps to discover the Spider's Secret?

5936 Spider's Secret was one of my first LEGO System sets and has a special place in my heart. Here is a list of my "twists":

• New pieces. Masonry bricks, microfigure statues, etc.

• Playability! I included the ability to open the model up and play inside. Also, more traps! Not just the original falling axe, but flick-fire "darts" from the skull's mouth and falling "rocks!"

• Johnny Thunder. As a young kid, I was disappointed 5936 didn't have the "hat man" in the Adventurers logo. So, I included him, because why not?

• Ambiguous setting. Original Adventurers takes place in the 1920's, but I wanted the model to not look too out of place with the modern City Jungle line. This is why Pippin just has a handheld camera.
