Level Crossing
When I think of a nostalgic set, 7936 Level Crossing comes to mind. Designed for playability, it featured a rotating Hi-Rail excavator and adjustable crossing gates to simulate trains passing through. I've kept the original design that made the set so recognizable while enhancing it with several upgrades. The Hi-Rail excavator now includes an extended cab for more interior space, giving it a proportionate appearance. Its boom has also been updated for a more powerful look. Both cab and boom are inspired by the similar build of the excavator in set 4203 Excavator Transport. The level crossing itself has been modernized with flashing lights for better visibility, ensuring that approaching vehicles are alerted and a "Railroad Crossing" sign to improve realism. To enhance traffic flow, sections of road with lane markings have been added on both sides of the crossing.
