Skeleton Surprise Reimagined
The original castle Skeleton Surprise and Royal Joust sets were some of my first, and most fondly remembered. BUT I remembered them being so much grander and full of features as a child. (just a goblet for treasure?!)
After showing my 6 year old who got the 3-in-1 Medieval Castle for his birthday pictures of these old sets, I was initially disillusioned, only to quickly see his imagination take over and him begging for me to get him the skeleton trap to "add to his castle".
So this is my attempt to draw out some of the features I could have swore were part of that original set, and add as many things as my son and I thought were cool!
While we ran out of pieces for the tripwire and crossbow, we still ended up with a broken down tower, and a reclusive Forestmen hermit who has taken up residence there.
Covered in secrets that only he knows, pesky intruders are either frustrated into moving on or scared away if they come too close!
