Octan Charge ‘N’ Clean
My favourite set as a child was the Octan Gas ‘n’ Wash Express, so I wanted to recreate a modern version of it and what better way to do it with it being upgraded to an electric vehicle charging station.
The charger is double sided, I wanted to try and give some realism to it and used a blaster as the connector, which connects to the modern electric car.
I liked the angles of the original and wanted to honour that with the solar panel canopy.
Another honour to the original set is the shop attendant (we called her Wendy), she is still working here, she has a new uniform and is looking older.
To keep the wash part of the original I changed this to a manual jet wash using a harpoon as the jet wash arm.
Some other fun upgrades, the shop now serves food and drink and also some bubble gum and chocolate are available to pick from the counter. The driver is eating a wrap and drinking grape soda while waiting for his car to charge.
Hope you enjoy this twist on the original.
