Life on Mars Excavator Mech

One of my favorite themes growing up was the Life on Mars line where humans and the native Martians work together in peace. This theme was filled with really cool mechs with interchangeable sections that are able to be transformed or swapped with other sets, including some of the human technology. In particular, this design was inspired by the Recon Mech and Red Planet Protector.

Here I created an Excavator Mech, piloted by a human astronaut, and built from combining the technologies of both the humans and Martians. The main tools are its grinder and excavator claw. These tools are interchangeable for the blades that can be swapped out and stored on the back of the mech. The mech can also be transformed easily into flying space ship speeding across the surface of the red planet and beyond.
