Vacation Hideaway (The Revival)

If there is one set that has stayed with me from my childhood, it is the Vacation Hideaway (Weekend Cottage). It was small, simple, and had a cheerful appearance. This was also one of the first set that I had rebuyed when I rediscoverd Lego 15 years ago. This nostalgic is the set I would like to bring to the present.

For the remake of the Vacation Hideaway, I drew inspiration from the roots of Lego. The architectural style is inspired by traditional Scandinavian holiday cottages. I added the wooden cladding to the facade using tiles. Additionally, I designed the ridge in such a way that it resembles a thatched roof. The interior is also inspired by Scandinavian design icons. This is reflected in the chair, table, and lamp. The minifigures has the same style of clothing as the original version of this set, but with modern prints. Special attention is paid to the pine tree. It is designed based on a carrot.

I hope you enjoy this remake. I like to see your comments.
