Mini Dark Forest Fortress - 6079

One of the coolest and the largest of the classic forest sets, the Dark Forest Fortress was a set I stumbled upon in my Lego collection and decided to restore and build. This was not only an incredible playable set, but an iconic classic from Lego. So why not recreate it in mini form? In my version the forest men have upgraded their defense systems with a new bow, a new catapult, and arrow launchers (previously not an option for Lego sets when the Dark Forest Fortress was released). Also, with an semi-upgraded look for the archer, but a classic look for the knight and guard, this set incorporates both the old and new of Lego beautifully. Plus, new building techniques are used in this set such as using shields as shingles for the roof of the fortress. This set incredibly depicts the Dark Forest Fortress in a miniature and slightly modern way, while still keeping the classic Lego forest series look!
