Bedford Fire Engine From the 1957 Fire Station Set (1308-1)

The Fire Station set from 1957 was one of the first LEGO sets ever released. It included a plastic Bedford Fire Engine model.

My design has taken inspiration from this solid plastic vehicle and reinvented it into a full-scale LEGO brick model.

It comes with a fire fighter minifigure. Fire fighters have been part of LEGO's heritage, often appearing in LEGO City sets. The fire engine also has an extendable ladder, just like the original had.

Many of my childhood memories of playing with LEGO involved creating towns and stories that used characters from City, including fire fighters coming to save the day. I hope this set brings that nostalgia to others.
