Mother and Son

The LEGO family sets with the large figures, was one of the first LEGO sets I got as a child. I have always liked the simplicity of how their bodies are built. In a way I see this reflected in the Brickheads series.

So I made a mix of the straightforward style of this old set and the construction method of the Brickheads. With the original puppet hidden inside of it. Which makes it looks like a processional giant, a folkloric phenomenon here in the Low Countries.
