Intergalactic Octan Cup

The LEGO set that hits the hardest in the nostalgia gut for me is Victory Cup Racers (6539). There were four classic race cars with their drivers competing for the Victory Cup back then (1993).

Now, the competition is intergalactic! The race cars may still be classic (race regulations), but the drivers come from far & wide! Ice Planet vs Blacktron vs M-Tron vs Galaxy Squad in an all out race battle! It’s more than just a race now. Your life is on the line! Everyone is after the coveted Octan Cup!

I hope you enjoy this simple diorama. The cars are attached to plates with reduced studs so they stay in place, but can be easily removed. Notice the same Octan sign is still standing in the same place as it once did where the Victory Cup Racers used to compete. It is said that those old racing legends are still involved by putting together the races today.
