LEGO Scala Puppy Playground Remake
Who doesn't remember the epic LEGO Scala series including Emma, Andrea and little Thomas? Thanks to Lego Scala you could play a real dolls' house using LEGO bricks. The most characteristic feature of the sets were the flower-shaped fasteners.
When I look at the old pictures of this series from the catalogues, I get really nostalgic. One of my favourite sets when I was a little girl was the 3150 Puppy Playground set because I loved animals from an early age, especially dogs.
Characteristic of this set were the bright colours, the playfulness and above all the sponge elements, which could be arranged in many ways.
The sponge elements, however, had certain design limitations. So I thought, what if I replace them with plastic lego pieces, while keeping the original, lovely style of the set? This gave me many more possibilities to create space and shapes. I replaced the large elements with more detailed, self-built LEGO models.
