A Twist of Nostalgia! - Emma’s House (41095)
My first LEGO kit was LEGO Friends Emma’s House Set 41095 - this was the inspiration for my entry.
This model includes:
3 mini-minifigures – Emma, Charlotte & Luis
Vegetable Patch, Garden, Mailbox
Barbeque (if only LEGO made a 1x1 grille!) Table & Stool
Floor Standing Fridge, Sink, Drawer, Hob, Table & 3 Chairs
Sofa, Coffee Table & Flat-screen TV
Bed, Vanity Table & Balcony
Bath, Toilet & Sink
Initially, my target was to create an approximate one quarter scale miniaturization of the original set. Working strictly with official LEGO pieces & colours (particularly window frame modules) has informed my interpretation. This set has slightly different vertical proportion but retains the distinct colour banding of the original model. Stretching the verticality would have tipped the piece count over the mandatory upper limit & I opted to utilize these pieces more wisely to capture all the idiosyncrasies & stylisation in my re-imagination of the classic prototype.
