The Royal Drawbridge
Welcome LEGO fans!
This is my custom drawbridge build, inspired by the classic LEGO Castle set 7079 Drawbridge Defense. I challenged myself to capture the spirit of the original while keeping the build within the 250-piece part limit. It features a fully functional drawbridge, operated by a gear at the back of the tower, with a locking mechanism that holds the bridge steady at any angle.
At the top of the tower, there’s a modernized ballista for defense. I also added a few updated details while keeping the medieval look and feel of the original set.
The set includes four minifigures: a cheerful jester, a queen, a veteran knight with a halberd, and a heroic knight with a sword and shield. I selected these characters to balance action and storytelling, while still giving a nod to the original set’s lineup.
I'm excited to share this build with fellow LEGO Castle fans and hope it brings a sense of adventure and nostalgia!
