Classic Police

Police Headquarters is the first set I remember having and I'm fortunate to still have all the parts some 45 years later! I keep it as a display piece.

It was interesting revisiting it in small scale. Funnily enough, my recreation uses 220 pieces while the original has only 300!

After building the model, I recreated it in Bricklink Studio to include several elements I didn't have to hand. This gave me the opportunity to simplify the design and lower the part count. The final image is the Studio render.

So much has changed since 585 was released in 1976. Minifigs grew arms and faces, and the set uses techniques that are now considered "illegal".

However one thing never changes - the joy of LEGO. 😁
