The Great-Grandfather Wolf

The Great-Grandfather Wolf is one of many adversaries set against the raider Nihlus as he struggles homeward out of a hostile country, with the mortal remains of his three slain brothers in tow.

"Ere we marched in ruined land,

Desperate men of ragged band...

I used to have these recurring dreams about being chased by wolves and fighting with them. Long story short we eventually became friends. That to say this sleek and spooky animal must have percolated up in my mind of its own accord. The head and jaw had been an unrealized idea for quite awhile, and finally building it complete was a nice way to relax while also rebuilding a truck engine. [a success]

So I built the wolf for myself, and it was largely done before I even heard about this contest. I had to pull a modified piece and redesign the hip assembly, then added hydraulic hoses to help guide the eye as well as give some sense of movement and latent power.
