Toa Takanuva Revamp
My take on Takanuva, the Toa of Light. I wanted to put my own spin on the classic Toa Mata, scaling them up to something more like Inika scale. Takanuva, and the others of the set, feature variations of the same base pattern, with a little of their own elemental flair. Takanuva has slightly less ornamentation than the other Toa to demonstrated his newly-ascended status. I kept the Staff of Light mostly the same, but added rainbow transparency elements to expand on the motif of light. I used the glitter Avohkii mask from the original Takanuva and Ussanui set (8596-1), but gold, silver or glow-in-the-dark would also fit the aesthetic.
Pictured below are posed, frontal and rear projections, a side view showing some of the articulation, and detail of the Staff of Light. Rendered in Bricklink Studio.
