Protectors of the Elements
My first Bionicle figure was the 2015 Protector of Fire. I wanted to recreate the character in more compact and detailed form, then added the other Protectors too.
I found that the smaller the figure, the more details you can perfect. the elbow joints use a 2x2 turntable piece to give a nice texture of gears. I also tried to incorporate more brick and technic pieces than the original sets. Wheels, round bricks, and gears give a nice roundness and humanoid feel.
The Protector of Ice uses the largest pieces, to resemble layers of insulation against the cold.
The Protector of Air has wheel pieces in his legs to make it look like he has some spring in his step to get through jungle environments.
The Protector of Water has a slim structure for easy under-water manoeuvrability and high speeds.
The Protector of Fire was designed with thick and powerful legs to handle the tremendous heat when lava surfing.
I hope you like the project! If so, please leave a comment.
