Toa Pohatu Revamp
My take on Pohatu, the Toa of Stone. I wanted to put my own spin on the classic Toa Mata, scaling them up to something more like Inika scale. Pohatu, and the others of the set, feature variations of the same base pattern, with a little of their own elemental flair. To emphasise the original Pohatu's gimmick of kicking, I paid close attention to his legs and feet, and rather than a cloak, he has bulky hip armour to make him look more bottom-heavy. The ribbed hoses on his foot bumpers function like springs, allowing the bumper plate to bounce back, and his feet have cleats to further evoke football.
Pictured below are posed, frontal and rear projections, a side view showing some of the articulation, and detail of the foot. Rendered in Bricklink Studio.
